The R.I.P.D. picture is like a graphic novel, I guess. I don't know if it's like a typical kind of comic book. But there is great source material for those kinds of films.

I think you have to let go of this idea that you can be precious about everything, and let it be the abstract mess that it is.

Honestly, I think it's dumb luck that I'm able to kind of get away doing different types of films in different genres.
