Shamefully, all of us have wanted revenge on someone at some point for something. I've lived since before man and buffalo roamed this small planet. I have survived the beginning, bloom, and death of countless enemies, civilizations, and people. And the one truth I have learned most during all of these centuries is the old Japanese proverb. If you sit by the river long enough, you will see the body of your enemy float by.
Sherrilyn KenyonWe have certain demons who are motivated by the smell of food. They tend to get rather violent whenever they smell it. I personally wouldnโt be caught eating anything because I would end up dead. You might not. But youโd still have to fight them, and since some of them are rather ugly and really, really smelly, it might spoil your appetite. Then again, maybe not. Doesnโt spoil Noirโs. I think it makes him hungrier, especially when he guts them. Sick, but true. (Asmodeus)
Sherrilyn KenyonI defy you to try it, Princess. Go ahead. I donโt even know how to sweep a floor. All I know how to do is use my body to please others. I was sick and alone with no references, friends, family, or money. I was so weak from hunger that even a beggar stole your himation from me while I lay on the ground, wanting to die and unable to stop him from taking it. So donโt come here now with your disdainful eyes and look at me like Iโm beneath you. I donโt need your charity and I donโt need your pity. I know exactly what you see when you look at me. (Acheron)
Sherrilyn KenyonSo, whatโs your style preference? (Grace) For what I have in mind, nudity works best. (Julian)
Sherrilyn KenyonOh, see then, the Simi is not in trouble. I just kill the Greek god and allโs fine. (Simi) You canโt kill a Greek god, Simi. Itโs not allowed. (Acheron) There you go again, akri, saying no to the Simi. Donโt eat that, Simi. Donโt kill that, Simi. Stay here, Simi. Go to Katoteros, Simi, and wait for me to call you. I donโt like being told no, akri. (Simi)
