It's always hard for the first movie because you have to spend so much time introducing the characters.

People grew up on the animated movie. Bill Condon is Bill Condon. And nobody does those movies better than Disney does.

People are sophisticated viewers, as evidenced by the risks that are taken in cable television, and I think network has to do the same thing.

You want to tell a great story. You want these characters to become part of people's lives. And then, hopefully, that generates discussion.
