The first thing these people have who succeed, who are fulfilled, is that they’ve decided what the purpose of the game is, at least for right now.

If you ever hear yourself or anyone you care about starting to express the belief that a problem is permanent, it’s time to immediately shake that person loose. No matter what happens in your life, you’ve got to be able to believe, 'This, too, shall pass,' and that if you keep persisting, you’ll find a way.

The difference between acting badly or brilliantly is not based on your ability, but on the state of your mind and/or body in any given moment.

There are many people who live in what I call 'No-man's Land,' a place where you're not really happy, but you're not unhappy enough to do anything about it. That's a dangerous place. It's a place where people numb themselves to their dreams. It's where they dismiss hope and accept what's in front of them instead of driving toward what they really want in life.

We've all been put to sleep by somebody who's told us all these wonderful facts that didn't matter because information without emotion is not retained.
