Our culture teaches us that making significant changes takes a long time and is difficult to do. This is simply NOT true. Change happens in an instant. It is not a process - it is something you do in an instant by simply making a decision.

Creating Change - The first step to creating any change is deciding what you do want so that you have something to move toward.

I'm certainly not saying that my life is what success is all about. To me, success is the ongoing process of striving to become more.

I also remember the moment my life changed, the moment I finally said, "I've had it!" I know I'm much more than I'm demonstrating mentally, emotionally, and physically in my life. I made a decision in that moment which was to alter my life forever. I decided to change virtually every aspect of my life. I decided I would never again settle for less that I can be.

Your life experience will never far exceed the expectations of your peers, because to stay connected to them there is an unconscious contract that says we're going to be within this range of each other. Now, on the other hand, if for some reason your friends have a higher expectation for life than you do, just to stay on the team you've got to raise your standard.

Obstacles are merely a call to strengthen your resolve to achieve your worthwhile goals.

The difference between success and failure is not which stock you buy or which piece of real estate you buy, it's asset allocation.
