I think that’s the thing — we don’t have people just because this guy is a star on blah, blah, blah show; you want someone that has personality and can put two sentences together and that doesn’t take themselves quite so seriously.

Work is the thing that happens around the game time.

I didn't know that I could do a talk show. I didn't know that we could bring variety to daytime. I didn't know that people wanted to see singing, and dancing and comedy in the morning.

You can't please everyone. Just because I don't behave a certain way, some folks will say you don't have any street cred. I've pretty much had to put up with that since I was a little kid, just because I was raised to communicate in a certain fashion. Some people didn't like it.
