A false identity is any lie that contradicts our God-given identities through Scripture. These false identities can be created by ourselves because of sin in our lives, choices made, or wrong turns taken and the regret, guilt, and shame that follows. Other false identities are handed to us by outside sources, maybe a damaging word spoken to us by someone or a childhood of abuse. However, not all false identities are negative on the surface, such as successful, attractive, wealthy, athletic, or talented. But even those identities can become false when we place too much of our weight on them.

On the contrary, most news is completely correct, albeit tendentiously slanded; it is just that certain information is suppressed. One can adjust for the political slanting of the news, but there is virtually no way to fill in the omissions.

How many voices in our materialist society tell us that happiness is to be found by acquiring as many possessions and luxuries as we can! But this is to make possessions into a false god. Instead of bringing life, they bring death.

While it lies there it needs no constitution, no law, no courts to save it.
Learned HandYou put on a face for the public. The face isn't false; it's just another side of you. If it were false, you couldn't last. In order to look real, it has to be real, and I've always thought of the characters I've played as real people.

Sometimes they have lasted for fifteen or twenty years and then they gradually die away.
Irving LangmuirPolitics is not an end, but a means. It is not a product, but a process. It is the art of government. Like other values it has its counterfeits. Correlations between asset classes may be surprisingly high when leverage rapidly unwinds.
Seth KlarmanThe criminal misuse of time was pointing out the mistakes. Catching themโnoticing themโthat was essential.
