I was lucky in that I had a mother that was full of this colloquial wisdom and she used to say to me 'You know, failure is not the opposite of success, it's the stepping stone to success. There is nobody who has not failed along the way.' So I think its very important for young women, especially as they are starting in life, to recognize that because otherwise, they only see people's success. So, when I speak, I speak of my failures.

The Republican Party seems unwilling and unable to offer solutions to the crises we are facing, other than pitching the same failed ideas that got us into the mess we are in the first place.

America is a country ready to be taken - in fact, longing to be taken - by political leaders ready to restore democracy and trust to the political process.

Basically, success the way we've defined it is no longer sustainable. It's no longer sustainable for human beings or for societies.

It would be futile to attempt to fit women into a masculine pattern of attitudes, skills and abilities . . .

Not only is it harder to be a man, it is also harder to become one.

The more fearless we are in our personal lives, the more of that spirit we'll bring to changing our world.
