By deceiving one another through false assumptions and misrepresentations there has been, in reality, a great lapse and delay in achieving the real goals.

I call myself a feminist. Isn't that what you call someone who fights for women's rights?

I consider myself to be just one among 7 billion human beings. If I were to think of myself as different from others, or as something special, it would create a barrier between us. What makes us the same is that we all want to lead happy lives and gather friends around us. And friendship is based on trust, honesty and openness.

I am sometimes sad when I hear the personal stories of Tibetan refugees who have been tortured or beaten. Some irritation, some anger comes. But it never lasts long. I always try to think at a deeper level, to find ways to console.

I don't think human affection and compassion are just religious concerns; they're indispensable factors in our day-to-day lives.

If we can refrain from harming others in our actions & words, we can start to give serious attention to actively doing good.
