Whether it is under the guise of survival and self-defence or directly expressed through dominion and greed, the failure to recognize the common humanity shared by us all lies at the heart of our difficulties. To overcome it, we should begin to develop, from the level of the individual through that of society to the world at large, what I call a sense of universal responsibility; a deep respect for every living being who lives on this one small planet and calls it home.

Suffering increases your inner strength. Also, the wishing for suffering makes the suffering disappear.

It is a question of our own peace and mental stability.

Reincarnation is not an exclusively Hindu or Buddhist concept, but it is part of the history of human origin. It is proof of the mindstream's capacity to retain knowledge of physical and mental activities. It is related to the theory of interdependent origination and to the law of cause and effect.

It's not enough to be compassionate. You must act.

Through money or power you cannot solve all problems. The problem in the human heart must be solved first.

Blessings don’t come from outside, but from within. Whatever blessings we receive are the result of our own efforts and positive actions.
