If we can cultivate a concern for others, keeping in mind the oneness of humanity, we can build a more compassionate world.

Genuine happiness comes from focusing on the happiness of others.

The essence of any religion is good heart. Sometimes I call love and compassion a universal religion. This is my religion.

I believe the ultimate source of blessings is within us. A good motivation and honesty bring self-confidence , which attracts the trust and respect of others. Therefore the real source of blessings is in our own mind.

Even more important than the warmth and affection we receive, is the warmth and affection we give. It is by giving warmth and affection, by having a genuine sense of concern for others, in other words through compassion, that we gain the conditions for genuine happiness. More important than being loved, therefore, is to love.

Harmony can not thrive in a climate of mistrust, cheating, bullying; mean-spirited competition.

Contemplating the suffering which is unbearable to us, and is unbearable to others, too, can produce awake mind, which arises from the compassion that wishes to free all living beings from suffering.
