Indulgence in resentment and vengeance will only further increase miseries to oneself and others in this life and in lives to come.

The only "definitive truth" for Buddhism is the absolute negation of any one truth as the Definitive Truth.

Appearance is something absolute, but reality is not that way - everything is interdependent, not absolute.

Compassion is concern of others' well being.

It is natural that we face obstacles in pursuit of our goals. But if we remain passive, making no effort to solve the problems we meet, conflicts will arise and hindrances will grow. Transforming these obstacles into opportunities is a challenge to our human ingenuity.

It is our enemies who provide us with the challenge we need to develop the qualities of tolerance, patience and compassion.

Children are our greatest untapped resource.
