It is important to pray for peace. . . But you must also take actions to make that happen. Every single day.

I believe the ultimate source of blessings is within us. A good motivation and honesty bring self-confidence , which attracts the trust and respect of others. Therefore the real source of blessings is in our own mind.

Now is the time when your action is practice.

We believe in self creation. That's why Buddhists believe in the Four Noble Truths.

Is this what you have in mind,' I asked the Dalai Lama, 'when you say in teachings that the buddhas and bodhisattvas of the world are the most selfish beings of all, that by cultivating altruism they actually achieve ultimate happiness for themselves?' Yes. That's wise selfish,' he replied. 'Helping others not means we do this at our own expense. Not like this. Buddhas and bodhisattvas, these people very wise. All their lives they only want one thing: to achieve ultimate happiness. How to do this? By cultivating compassion, by cultivating altruism.

One scientist had discussions about love and compassion. Usually, he felt irritation. After our meeting, for some months, anger never come.

We consider that the lives of all beings are just as precious as our own, and through this we develop a sense of concern for others.
