Dullness is the spice of life. Which is why we must always use other spices.

Maybe language is kind, giving us these double meanings. Maybe it's trying to teach us a lesson, that we can always be two things at once.

That word again. Happy. It’s a curse. The pursuit of happiness makes us deeply unhappy. It’s a trap.Before anything else happened, there was me in bed, thinking of who you used to be. I don’t want you to think I forgot.

What separates us from the animals, what separates us from the chaos, is our ability to mourn people we’ve never met.

Moments into minutes. Minutes into hours. Hours into days. Days into years. Years into possibility. This will linger.

What did it matter to me? Did I think that by making you rational about one thing, I could make you rational about everything? Maybe. Or maybe I just wanted to save you from your fears

I was starting to think I was making up memories, just to have answers. Our brain does that sometimes. Or at least mine does.
