I donโt know why we insist on pain when pain is so often easy to eliminate. Itโs funny the ways we try to punish ourselves when we feel weโve committed some crime.
Deb CalettiIt was a shut door, and shut doors meant things kept to yourself. There were reasons you kept things to yourself, and they usually werenโt good, happy, open-air sort of reasons. Still, I didnโt want to see behind that door. You think you want to know everything there is to know about everything there is to know. But you donโt. Not really. I had pried the lid off of the dark places of another person before, I had seen inside. Down deep. You donโt want to look at whatโs rotting there.

The OCD guy thinks you don't keep it clean enough.The antisocial--" Puts his fist through it because it reminds him of his father." Annie said. She'd read all of mom's books, too. And the paranoid one would be jealous of the amount of time you spend cooking." Mom said Were you using that microwave again? Is something going on between the two of you? I caught you looking right at its clock." Annie said.
