For years we practice meditation, like any art, and we get better at it each day. In the beginning it's just enough for us to sit down and focus our attention.

We're connected to the Buddhist order, to the mind of enlightenment. All day long we draw the power and force from that world, from all the teachers and all the adherents of the practices and the principles.

When there is time, there has to be suffering. Because in time there's desire and attachment and transition. This is the world of experience.

Every time you find yourself becoming angry, jealous or frustrated, stop and think the opposite thought.

Life isn't complicated. The reason it appears complicated to you is because you are in a very distorted state of mind. That's the basic premise of Buddhism - that you're in a very distorted state of mind.

If you lead a sloppy life, if you indulge in your emotions, if you're always upset, freaked out, stressful, and not happy, you are wasting power and your power level will get very low.

Practice love in your relationships. The key to this is avoiding expectation. It's expectation that makes most people miserable in love - the return on the investment.
