If someone else runs faster than you or makes more money than you or is more adept at anything, that doesn't mean you have lost. You are measuring yourself only against yourself and your tendencies not to do all that you are capable of doing.

In the training process, the teacher addresses two sides of your being. One is the tonal and one is the nagual.

There are certain areas that you can move to on the earth that will empower you and there are certain areas that can drain you.

As we slam you with more and more devastating blows of the nagual, at the same time, we strengthen and clear the tonal so that it can easily withstand them - so there is no loss in continuity of consciousness.

Taoism means streching your being, becoming both a man and a woman and joining within yourself, to be the heavens themselves, to stretch your awareness beyond the breaking point until all opposites are reconciled within yourself.

When you live in a psychic state of mind, you are happy. You don't have to do anything. Life is always beautiful, but we don't see it when we enter into lower states of mind that are, in effect, cloudy.

In the beginning, when you are meditating, just ignore thought. Shine it on. Then after you are comfortable sitting there, try selectively eliminating negative thoughts, thoughts that agitate the mind.
