A good teacher will show you the ropes in the world of power. They will give you the wisdom that is necessary to be able to use power. You just don't give a kid a new Ferrari. You teach him how to drive it.

If you are going to experience the ecstasy of enlightenment, it is not just going to be a phrase. You've got to work during meditation. So back to the navel center!

What makes us happy is to have a spiritual experience ... that experience of ecstasy in the deepest meditation; that's happiness.

When you meditate you feel joy, harmony, peace, stillness, ecstasy, laughter, certainty, courage, strength, awareness and immortality. In the beginning you will feel these things vaguely, a distant knocking at your castle door.

The whole quality of your life depends on your state of mind. There are very high states of mind that very few people experience. They are also quite pragmatic and practical and they make you more efficient at living and working in the world.

Beyond learning and unlearning is awareness, and beyond awareness is consciousness, and beyond consciousness is immortality, and beyond immortality is dharma and beyond dharma is nirvana.

We see an enlightened teacher to gain a sense of humor, to learn balance and proportion and of course to learn wisdom.
