The essence of all practice is to be cool. Life is not worth getting excited about because whatever you perceive is an illusion.

Self-realization is liberation. Liberation is self-realization.

As Buddhists, our only task is to keep our room clean.

The emphasis is on meditation in Tantric Zen. The experience of meditation in formal practice, zazen, where you're sitting down and meditating and concentrating.

It's not going to be easy. It's the earth. What creates power in your life is when you perfect your mind, your career, and your associations with others.

As long as it's a world, it has laws. Why, I don't know, it's just the way it is. In Nirvana, there are no laws.

As I'm sure you know by now, most people aren't really very happy. Beyond their surface appearances, the smiles they wear for the rest of the world, most people are soul-sick.
