All of the exoteric teachings are only designed to give you the type of life that will allow you to practice the esoteric teachings.

Be concerned with the welfare of others without any sense of self-importance that one is better because one meditates or leads a certain type of life.

Spiritual people are often persecuted because of their beliefs. Christians were fed to the lions. Jews were slaughtered in concentration camps. Various forms of persecution still exist today throughout the world.

When you are not meditating, eliminate hate, doubt, fear, anxiety, negative thoughts and emotions that limit your consciousness, that bind you to a sense of self, of ego.

Self-realization doesn't imply loss, gain, even transition; it's only a settling. The separate sounds on the beach, the birds, the waves, the wind. They all come together again, they blend, they harmonize.

Thoughts can increase our understanding of a subject, or they can just as easily constrict or block our understanding of a subject. It very much depends upon the language we are thinking in.

There is suffering and there is joy. Your life is very short, and then you're back again for another and another, forever, unless you step off the wheel.
