Personality is a manifestation of ego. Ego is the central sense of separateness that a person has from the rest of the universe. Personality is the form that that separateness take.

When you stop your thoughts, you stop the world.

The Buddhist message is a message not of the negation of life, but one of affirmation.

Free will exists and operates outside causality. It is not hooked to karma. Free will is like a well that is on your property. You can choose to draw water from the well or not.

To become wise, meditate on the third eye, between the eyebrows and a little bit above. Focus on that spot, the Agni chakra.

You can get so caught up in learning all about reincarnation, you can get so caught up in learning about structures, fascinating though they may be, that you're not free; you're just studying a different textbook.

When you have grown accustomed to sitting and meditating, try to stop your thoughts. That's the bottom line in meditative practice.
