They've destroyed their environment, by and large. They've eliminated most other species on the planet, which is just an indication of their sloppiness and their deadness and their oblivion - but even more so, they've cut themselves off from happiness.

Salvakalpa samadhi is a tremendous acceptance and liberation, but it is not complete absorption in nirvana, in that consciousness.

The emphasis is on meditation in Tantric Zen. The experience of meditation in formal practice, zazen, where you're sitting down and meditating and concentrating.

Dogs have fleas; people have each other. We are born to die. Life is a continuing tragic comedy. Everything and everyone we love suffers. Anybody who doesn't see that has not grown up and known life.

If you know that you have had countless lives, then what happens in this life is not quite as traumatic.

When you stop your thoughts, you stop the world.

Be a perpetual beginner. Always be inspired. It is that attitude of inspiration and belief that creates energy.
