True charity occurs only when there are no notions of giving, giver, or gift.

With good will for the entire cosmos, cultivate a limitless heart: above, below, and all around, unobstructed, without hostility or hate.

Just as the bee takes the nectar and leaves without damaging the color or scent of the flowers, so should the sage act in a village.
