Do not judge yourself harshly. Without mercy for ourselves we cannot love the world.

Dharma is not upheld by talking about it. Dharma is upheld by living in harmony with it.

O seeker! Rely on nothing until you want nothing.

In this world Hate never yet dispelled hate. Only love dispels hate. This is the law, Ancient and inexhaustible.

Religion is a cow. It gives milk, but it also kicks.

Thoughtfulness is the way to deathlessness, thoughtlessness the way to death. The thoughtful do not die: the thoughtless are as if dead already.

Freed by full realization and at peace, the mind of such a man is at peace, and his speech and action peaceful. He has no need for faith who knows the uncreated, who has cut off rebirth, who has destroyed any opportunity for good or evil, and cast away all desire. He is indeed the ultimate man.
