While a good leader sustains momentum, a great leader increases it.

When pastors ask me if their people will buy this vision, I ask them two questions: "Have they bought into your leadership?" If they haven't, don't ever try to pass on a vision. Second, "Have you processed this vision correctly?"

Most people use two totally different sets of criteria for judging themselves versus others. We tend to judge others according to their actions. It's very cut-and-dried. However, we judge ourselves by our intentions. Even if we do the wrong thing, if we believe our motives were good, we let ourselves off the hook. And we are often willing to do that over and over before requiring ourselves to change.

The great leaders in history were great not because of what they owned or earned but because of what they gave their lives to accomplish. They made a difference!

If you do the things you need to do when you need to do them, then someday you can do the things you want do when you want to do them.

The person who does only what he must when he is in the mood or when it's convenient isn't going to be successful.

Knowing how to do a job is the accomplishment of labor - showing others is the accomplishment of the teacher - making sure the work is done by others is the accomplishment of the manager - inspiring others to do better work is the accomplishment of the leader.
