When pastors ask me if their people will buy this vision, I ask them two questions: "Have they bought into your leadership?" If they haven't, don't ever try to pass on a vision. Second, "Have you processed this vision correctly?"
John C. MaxwellMost people use two totally different sets of criteria for judging themselves versus others. We tend to judge others according to their actions. It's very cut-and-dried. However, we judge ourselves by our intentions. Even if we do the wrong thing, if we believe our motives were good, we let ourselves off the hook. And we are often willing to do that over and over before requiring ourselves to change.
John C. MaxwellThe great leaders in history were great not because of what they owned or earned but because of what they gave their lives to accomplish. They made a difference!
John C. MaxwellIf you do the things you need to do when you need to do them, then someday you can do the things you want do when you want to do them.
