If we take something to be the truth, we may cling to it so much that when the truth comes and knocks on our door, we won't want to let it in.

Awareness of this fact alone can help us overcome many of our own psychological pains. Eventually our contemplation can help us see how to assist those who need our help so much.

For things to reveal themselves to us, we need to be ready to abandon our views about them.
