I never, with my eyes, saw the mistreatment of any black person. Not once. Where we lived was all farmers. The blacks worked for the farmers. I hoed cotton with them. I'm with the blacks, because we're white trash. We're going across the field.... They're singing and happy. I never heard one of them, one black person, say, I tell you what: These doggone white people - not a word!... Pre-entitlement, pre-welfare, you say: Were they happy? They were godly; they were happy; no one was singing the blues.

I turned from my wicked ways and embraced Jesus. The next thing I knew, good times had come my way.

My prayer was always: 'Lord, if You bless me, I'll thank You: but if You don't, I'll be thankful for what I have. I have plenty. I'm in good shape.'

Uptown living, you've got to call 911. Where I am, I am 911.

You have to discipline your children, or they won't respect you, law enforcement or God or anyone else.

If men were in charge of carrying and birthing our babies, we'd have a lot fewer people on Earth, because we'd only do it once- I can promise you that!

I just think society, our culture and our world would be better off if we just loved God and loved our neighbor and did what was right. You know, our founding fathers... They all were godly men. Someone told me one time, "Yeah, but they made mistakes." I said, "So have we. We've all made mistakes." I said, "But they founded the greatest nation on earth and we didn't, and that's the difference right there."
