We ask the risen Jesus, who turns death into life, to change hatred into love, vengeance into forgiveness, war into peace. Yes, Christ is our peace, and through him to implore peace for all the world.

A Senate vote on gay marriage is a destructive pretension against the plan of God

It's important if you can do good with power. And Jesus defined power, true power is to serve, to do service, to do the most humble services, and I must still make progress on this path of service because I feel that I don't do everything I should do. That's the sense I have of power.

Lord, with so much violence in Iraq, may we persevere in our prayer and generosity.

The real power is love, that which empowers others, that which arouses action, that which no chain is able to hold back, for even on the Cross or on the death bed one is able to love. One does not need youthful beauty, nor recognition or approval, nor money or prestige. Let love simply bloom...and it is unstoppable.

May we try to listen and be silent in order to make space for the beauty of God.

Only trust in God can transform doubts into certainty, evil into good, night into radiant dawn.
