My mother always told me, 'Don't get married. Make your own life. You don't need a man.'

I can't cry on demand. I need to feel what I'm feeling. I can't just say, 'Give me a moment' and then cry.

Getting into television was a total fluke.

And I would - if I was in a bad place - I would go to my imaginary place with these mirrors, and create this entire other world to sort of help level out what I was dealing with.
