While books provided me with some escape from the mental and physical horrors of my early life, they were unreliable. Many times the protagonists suffered terribly and then died at the end.
Sherrilyn KenyonGreetings, O Great Gazoo. How nice of you to join us here on planet Earth again. (Cael) Thanks, Barney. Howโs Betty and Bam Bam doing? (Acheron) Great, if I could only get them away from Wilma and Pebbles. Those women are nothing but trouble. (Cael) Nah, theyโre good women. Itโs the ones in red who are always the downfall of good men. (Acheron)
Sherrilyn KenyonWhat are you doing here? (Artemis) I wanted to thank you for what you did tonight, but as I considered that, it dawned on me that you have never once in eleven thousand years done anything for me for free. The sheer fear factor of that realization alone has made me come seeking you. So what gives? (Acheron)
Sherrilyn KenyonNo, no, no. This ainโt right. I finally find a woman whoโll actually let me into her place and you bring her home for you? Oh, please tell me you brought her home for you and not for me. You didnโt pimp me out again, Wulf, did you? I swear Iโll stake you in your sleep if you did. (Chris)
