Anger or hatred is like a fisherman's hook. It is very important for us to ensure that we are not caught by it.

Anger, hatred, fear, is very bad for our health

If our tears do not lead us to act then we have lost the reason of our humanity, which is compassion.

In the Buddha's life story we see the three stages of practice: Morality comes first, then concentrated meditation, and then wisdom. And we see that the path takes time.

For the moment a lot of attention is given to economic concerns, and these problems at hand easily eclipse all others. But the remedies proposed for these problems all come out of outmoded ways of thinking... The remedy? Compassion. The logical feeling that we find in ourselves if we search deeply enough that has to be exercised toward all other living creatures.

Take into account that great love and great achievements involve great risk.

Don't compare me with Jesus. He is a great master, a great master.
