Let me hold on to this the way it was, before I knew anything else.

I was horribly bookish, to the point of coming right out and saying it, which I knew was not socially acceptable. I particularly loved the adjective bookish, which I found other people used about as often as ramrod or chum or teetotaler.

I want love to conquer all. But love can't conquer anything. It can't do anything on it's own. It relies on us to do the conquering on its behalf.

So I said I wanted you to stay, even though nothing could stay the same.

I wake up thinking of yesterday. The joy is in remembering; the pain is in knowing it was yesterday.

I want to write my life. I want to be able to write my life. You are a second away from saying it. You have no idea how much I love you.

It feels like we’ve stepped outside of time. Even though there is no such place.
