When you can no longer feel the life that you are, you are likely to try to fill up your life with things.

When one child says to another, "I can do this, I bet you can't"; "My dad has a bigger car than yours"; or, "My dad is stronger than yours." Children identify with this or that, trying to build up a sense of self - a mentally defined sense of self.

And since the now is all there ever is in your life, your entire life unfolds as the present moment. People don't realize it, but all they ever have is "this". This moment.

As soon as you honor the present moment, all unhappiness and struggle dissolve.

"Going with the flow" is for some people an excuse for not taking action and it refers usually to one's life situation.

When there's a teacher who embodies presence, then it seems to come for a while through that opening. The teacher is an opening to presence.

There are two levels to your pain: the pain that you create now, and the pain from the past that still lives on in your mind and body. Ceasing to create pain in the present and dissolving past pain - this is what I want to talk about now.
