It's a wonderful thing to perceive the world and to interact with it and with other people and nature from that deep place of utter stillness, where the compulsion to immediately label and interpret whatever arises around you is no longer there.
Eckhart TolleAs you go about your life, don't give 100 percent of your attention to the external world and your mind. Keep some within.
Eckhart TolleSo do not be concerned with the fruit of your action-just give attention to the action itself. The fruit will come of its own accord.
Eckhart TolleYour mind is an instrument, a tool. It is there to be used for a specific task, and when the task is completed, you lay it down. As it is, I would say about 80 to 90 percent of most people's thinking is not only repetitive and useless, but because of its dysfunctional and often negative nature, much of it is also harmful. Observe your mind and you will find this to be true. It causes a serious leakage of vital energy.
