Gods and goddesses are not what people think they are. Their names are terms with which we try to convey a certain experience, a state of consciousness.

Human beings affix themselves to things that are of little or no importance. They affix themselves to the transitory, to things that are impermanent, and in doing so, they get all upset

Reality is not the world as you perceive it. Reality is the world perceived through enlightenment. It's the same world; but it's not the same world.

There is a world of deaf, dumb and blind people out there, who are shuffling through their lives, not knowing how wonderful life can be. They have their moments, but they are very unconscious.

How can you be happy in a world like this? You have got to be crazy to even attempt something like that.
