Reading books about enlightenment does not make you enlightened at all. You have to meditate yourself.

Within silence all things are contained. What appears to our eyes to be life is but a thin curtain, a gauze penumbra, which stultifies our vision, which prevents us from seeing the truth.

When you meditate you are accessing eternity. You are plugging yourself into that source which is all light and all beauty and all perfection.

You have to be courageous in life to allow a lightness to engage your being. It is easy to be a jerk. To be unhappy with all this weird stuff around us just seems to me to be such a waste. That's a jerk.

Only when there are no impressions of others clouding our mind, can we sit and practice the glorious practice of meditation.

There are two sides to increasing energy. One is avoiding loss. The other is learning how to gain energy.

I learned about the benefits and the vast limitations of such types of exploration, as did all my generation.
