Sometimes when I am alone in my room in the dark, I practice smiling to myself. I do this to be kind to myself, to take good care of myself, to love myself. I know that if I cannot take care of myself, I cannot take care of anyone else.
Nhat HanhThe practice of Zen is to eat, breathe, cook, carry water, and scrub the toilet โ to infuse every act of body, speech, and mind โ with mindfulness, to illuminate every leaf and pebble, every heap of garbage, every path that leads to our mind's return home.
Nhat HanhThe source of love is deep in us and we can help others realize a lot of happiness. One word, one action, one thought can reduce another personโs suffering and bring that person joy.
