As an adventurer...I try to protect against the downside. I make sure I have covered as many eventualities as I can. In the end, you have to take calculated risks; otherwise you're going to sit in mothballs all day and do nothing.

I myself have invested in Uber and Hailo, I think they offer great alternatives to disrupt markets that have remained unchanged for many years.

If you don't succeed at first, there's no need for the F word (Failure). Pick yourself up and try, try again.

However small a company, its founders should try to expand people's opportunities and choices.

I do believe the harder you work, the luckier you get.

When I started Virgin from a basement in west London, there was no great plan or strategy. I didn't set out to build a business empire ... Entrepreneurial business favours the open mind. It favours people whose optimism drives them to prepare for many possible futures, pretty much purely for the joy of doing so.
