Look, if you can indulge in your passion, life will be far more interesting than if you're just working. You'll work harder at it, and you'll know more about it. But first you must go out and educate yourself on whatever it is that you've decided to do - know more about kite-surfing than anyone else. That's where the work comes in. But if you're doing things you're passionate about, that will come naturally.

I don't buy a lot of things. I like to create things. I've been lucky enough to be able to build my beautiful island in the Caribbean. I certainly haven't regretted that.

Run lean; avoid unnecessary expenses.

I just think you need to spice up life every now and then with a bit of adventure and excitement.

Don’t just play the game – change it for good.

Find somebody else to run your business on a day-to-day basis.

A generation ago, the image was that you had to trample everyone else down to succeed; but I don't believe that makes good business sense.
