The companies that look after their people are the companies that do really well. I'm sure we'd like a few other attributes, but that would be the most important one.

Education doesn't just take place in stuffy classrooms and university buildings, it can happen everywhere, every day to every person.

However small a company, its founders should try to expand people's opportunities and choices.

If you don't have time for the small things, you won't have time for the big things

I like to take chances on people, and whenever possible, promote from within - it sends a great message to everyone in the company when someone demonstrates a passion for the job and leadership skills at every step along the way and is rewarded with a leadership role.

The key is to set realistic customer expectations, and then not to just meet them, but to exceed them - preferably in unexpected and helpful ways.

I believe a good leader brings out the best in people by listening to them, trusting in them, believing in them, respecting them and letting them have a go.
