There are leaders, and there are those who lead. Leaders are those who hold a position of power or authority. But those who lead are those who inspire us. And it's those who start with why, that have the ability to inspire those around them or find others who inspire them.

Offer your strengths to others and you'll be amazed how many people offer their strengths to you.

Vision is a destination - a fixed point to which we focus all effort. Strategy is a route - an adaptable path to get us where we want to go.

Leaders don’t complain about what’s not working. Leaders celebrate what is working and work to amplify it.

The rank of office is not what makes someone a leader. Leadership is the choice to serve others with or without any formal rank.

A parent does not do everything for their kid. A parent that does everything for their kid produces a kid with no self-confidence. If our parents fixed everything for us and did not allow us to do anything on our own, or intervened every single time, we would all grow up to be completely dependent. The reason we grow up to be healthy adults is because our parents played this game of giving us responsibility, disciplining us when necessary, letting us try, letting us fail.

Success comes when we wake up every day in that never-ending pursuit of why we do what we do.
