You are not merely the physical body that you identify with out of habit. Your essential state is a field of infinite possibilities.

It's hard enough to change ourselves. We can't expect other people to change so that we feel better. We have to take the journey ourselves.

The intention behind our giving and receiving is the most important thing. When the act of giving is joyful, when it is unconditional and from the heart, then the energy behind the giving increases many times over. But if we give grudgingly, there is no energy behind that giving. If we feel we have lost something through the act of giving, then the gift is not truly given and will not cause increase.

Owning your own feelings, rather than blaming them on someone else, is the mark of a person who has moved from contracted to expanded awareness.

You can believe the diagnosis, not the prognosis.

If all of the steps of surrender are present, then a great Rembrandt or Monet will evoke love because the artist is simply there in all his naked humanity.

Love without action is meaningless and action without love is irrelevant.
