The tantras are ancient sacred books of India and Tibet. The tantras detail specific means for attaining liberation.

There are those who feel that meditation is unrealistic or takes them out of the world, and if that was your experience with mediation, you weren't meditating.

People who tap the kundalini and are able to release it are more successful. Anyone who is really on top has some access to the kundalini. They have learned somewhere down the line, in this or other lives, ways of releasing power.

Even the lucky ones, who do manage to become happy by attaining their goals, live each day in fear of losing whatever it is they may have gained.

There is no reason not to love. There is no reason not to be joyous. There is no reason not to celebrate because all of this means nothing, absolutely nothing. So why not be happy?

In the West people are basically oblivious to power, solstices, enlightenment and everything that matters.

All of the previously described techniques can be practiced with your eyes open and closed. Most people find that it is easier initially to practice meditation with their eyes closed.
