Meditation... never leave the body without it!

I have often discussed the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path in talks I have given about meditation. But, since I also teach Hindu, Buddhist, and Taoist mediation, I have a very eclectic approach to the subject.

How to unravel the knot of reality? Slowly and patiently. You cannot run away from it. You cannot run towards it. Yet truth runs in your footsteps. It is the face in the mirror, the light of the sun, the winter rainstorms, the heat of summer in the city

Obviously there is a lot more ecstasy in the spirit than in the flesh but the flesh has its moments!

Self-honesty is absolutely necessary in the practice of Buddhism.

We need a new imprinting. We need the imprinting of enlightenment, of freedom. That comes through our association with a higher being. So classically what occurs is that one meets a teacher.

In lower levels things are dark, gray, experiences are shallow. You become alienated from those around you.
