It is easier to develop the mind through meditation than it is just through athletic practice. If you put the two together, it will be unbelievable.

Mysticism is concerned primarily with moving our awareness field from the beginning of the band of perception, the human band, up to the enlightened bands of perception.

Sit in front of an object of concentration with the eyes open. Focus on a candle flame, or a yantra, a little dot, something small. Just look at it. Focus on it until there is nothing else in your mind. This develops willpower.

What is essential is to draw the energy of love from your heart and bring it into your mind, as San Exubere said: "it is only with the heart that one sees rightly. What is essential is invisible to the eye."

Use the previous techniques in rotation. It will prevent your meditation experience from becoming stale.
