People that are really smart and that can learn new things can almost always find a role in the company as time goes on.

For early employees you want people that have somewhat of a risk-taking attitude.

You don't need to make the structure complicated, in fact you shouldn't. All you need is for every employee to know who their manager is.

Keep salaries low and equity high. Keep the organization as flat as you can.

A winning team feels good and keeps winning. A team that hasn't won in a while gets demotivated and keeps losing.

What you want to do is innovate on your product and your business model, management structure is not where I would try and innovate.

You need this sort of a tailwind to make a startup successful.
