Learning is not watching a video, learning is taking action and seeing what happens.

Our best work can't possibly appeal to the average masses, only our average work can. Finding the humility to happily walk away from those that don't get it unlocks our ability to do great work.

There's no shortage of remarkable ideas, what's missing is the will to execute them.

I don’t think the shortage of artists has much to do with the innate ability to create or initiate. I think it has to do with believing that it’s possible and acceptable for you to do it. My problem with the search for the badge of real is that it trades your goals and your happiness for someone else's.

Solving problems—actually solving them, not just claiming you do—solving perceived, urgent problems, is a surefire way to get the world to beat a path to your door.
