That's why there's lots and lots of kinds of hot sauces, and not so many kinds of mustard. Not because it's hard to make interesting mustard - you could make interesting mustard - but people don't, because no one's obsessed with it, and thus no one tells their friends.

If you're not willing to get your 'worst one ever' out of the way, how will you possibly do better than that?

Every voice doesn't matter--only the voices that move your idea forward, that make it better, that make you better, that make it more likely you will ship work that benefits your tribe.

Once you free yourself from the need for perfect acceptance, it's a lot easier to launch work that matters.

What is school for? If you're not asking that, you're wasting time and money.

If you've got the platform and the ability to make a difference, then this goes beyond 'should' and reaches the level of 'must.' You must make a difference or you squander the opportunity. Wasting the opportunity both degrades your own ability to contribute and, more urgently, takes something away from the rest of us.

If your organization requires success before commitment, it will never have either.
