All organizations start with WHY, but only the great ones keep their WHY clear year after year. Those who forget WHY they were founded show up to the race every day to outdo someone else instead of to outdo themselves. The pursuit, for those who lose sight of WHY they are running the race, is for the medal or to beat someone else.

When we tell people to do their jobs, we get workers. When we trust people to get the job done, we get leaders.

Work requires effort. Things we love to do feel effortless. Only do the things you love and you'll never have to work again.

Taking a job for the cash is not as important as taking a job for the joy.

Poor leaders push us towards the goal. Great leaders guide us through the journey.

Leaders are the ones who have the courage to go first, to put themselves at personal risk to open a path for others to follow.

I only have one why, and my challenge is to make sure the things I say and the things I do remain consistent for as often and as long as possible.
