Great leaders state out loud what they intend to do and in doing so, they get things done.

We last longer if we compete against ourselves for the good of others instead of competing against others for the good of ourselves.

Words may inspire, but only ACTION creates change. Most of us live our lives by accident - we live life as it happens. Fulfillment comes when we live our lives on purpose.

People have accused me of only working with good companies. No I don't. I work with some very dysfunctional companies or unbelievably dysfunctional organizations. The people that bring me in know what they're doing won't work for the future. They know they want to change and they want to change for the right reasons. They believe what I believe and that's why they called me.

Humility, I have learned, must never be confused with meekness. Humility is being open to the ideas of others.

Quality effective leaders have the confidence to trust others to try, succeed, and sometimes to fail. We very often confuse personality with leadership. In other words, leadership is not about being a nice person or not a nice person.

What I thought I developed all of those years ago was a pattern to understand communication.
